I work by the cutter head hour as well. If I can't see the next truck coming I shut the cutter head off. Trucks are running on straight time

) we normally cut 8-10 acres a hour at $140 a acre-I asked a customer if I would go to $1200 a hour if that would be ok-He said no-thought by the acre was cheaper and knew his cost per unit-he is one of my large accounts -it would have saved him $20 acre as very efficient and large fields
