I work by the cutter head hour as well. If I can't see the next truck coming I shut the cutter head off. Trucks are running on straight time

What do you charge a hour? Here(west central Iowa) we normally cut 8-10 acres a hour at $140 a acre-I asked a customer if I would go to $1200 a hour if that would be ok-He said no-thought by the acre was cheaper and knew his cost per unit-he is one of my large accounts -it would have saved him $20 acre as very efficient and large fields

I've been charging $350 on the cutter w kp. $75 each truck. After a complete rebuild of the 688 head it has increased production to the point that I should have raised my price. 10 loads an hour in good running, and no truck waiting is about right. A couple hours of that and the pit guys are calling for some relief.
