Guy chopping for the neighbors here is getting 7$ a ton, he is running a New Holland 850 forage crusier so a big chopper and 3 live bottoms (specially built silage trailers) hauling 25-28 T each he is putting all the fuel in everything at that price, was in corn silage making 20-22 ton acre I thought that seemed expensive @ 140-150 an acre but I know stuff is expensive and he is doing a good job, cut quality looks very good along with keeping silage in the trucks, have seen guys that charge by the acre that blow what appears to be a lot on the ground.
