Nevada, Iowa | You are correct, of course but more specifically I have always felt that even though so much importance is placed on pollination, I really think it is only a portion of the game. A hot, dry, windy August can swing that corn yield 50 bushels in extreme situations. When is the last time you can think that pollination did that in Iowa?Maye it is the luck of the draw but I can only think of one year in 45 that pollination greatly affected my yields. I can think of several easily where aborted kernels and grain fill did. | |
