WY, OK | This won't change her mind but it is a good analogy:
Cholesterol are the firefighters that are sent to put out the fire that are your arteries being inflamed. You get rid of cholesterol and you kill the fireman and leave the fire. Inflammation is triggered greatly by sugar, which is found in grains, fruit and of course sugar of any kind. LDL is the firefighter on the way to the scene and HDL is the firefighter returning to the station (liver).
It is like an alien coming down to Earth, taking a snapshot and seeing Firefighters at all these fires and deducing that they must be the ones causing the fires.
