Off topic, but do they still grow tobacco along the stretch from Windsor to Buffalo? Maybe that's a thing of the past, too.
Very little , some Blenheim/ridgetown area ,Tillsonburg/Simcoe , I don't think any in Essex cty. now....those tobacco farms had some great 'quota value '30-40 yrs ago , not much value now....might be different for Black or flue ,it was like my Dad growing tomato's for Heinz for 38 yrs., it was an excellent small farm income stream for mixed farms......now there is a lot of cannabis farms of all sizes , but in next couple yrs. that will change as 'big' greenhouses can out produce them,have marketing skills/research and real value will be medicinal uses |
