South Plains of Texas | One factor I use is can you get someone to harvest your grain when you want it harvested? I have come to the conclusion that If I grow it I want to be able to harvest it, or at least most of it. I will hire some custom but I want the control to harvest the best of the crop on my timetable. In cotton and peanut farming the quality of the product can be very critical to the final price you recieve. I don't know about grains that much. | |
