east central ND | With the lowering of crop insurance PP buy-up, and lower PP % coverage on corn and edibles, if the spring is exactly like years ago, there will be less PP. Also, a lot of tile has gone in on “trouble” ground in eastern ND. On my farm we have gotten over 1/3 of our “worst wet” ground pattern tiled. It’s not a cure all, but makes a huge difference.
Edit, Corn went from 60% to 50% I think, and the buy up from 10% to 5%. 15 % less PP coverage of your insurance level. So most of that PP ground years ago was too wet, but some had an economic push to PP. so a lot more incentive to try and get some iffy acres put in.
