 Remsen, IA | Just because he buys it from someone in Minnesota doesn't mean the grain was ever in Minnesota. When I was raising food grade crops I dealt with a broker in MN and either they or the end user sent trucks that hauled grain directly to the end user. There is a paper trail following loads and everything better match up when you get inspected. My wife works in the food industry and deals with organic audits for food packaged as such and if there was a scam going on it wouldn't last long.
