Look what $7 corn one year and a generation of guys that are risk averse has done to fences and pastures in S IA and NMO in just the last few years,,,not coming back. Once you loose a generation of potential cow guys (probably lost now) things might get interesting. Only guys like my son or Macttle want to work that hard for very little
The insurance subsidy needs to go.
Cheap food requires mining the worker as well as the land though, so it probably won't happen.
