I think this may be a soil type question. In our heavier soils we plant right after application. Maybe wait a few hours for top to dry like field cultivating. However I would be more cautious trying it on light soils. may want to wait a few days to be sure it does not burn. I just don't have enough experience with lighter soils to answer definitively. But as far as a program, yes it works great in the Spring. No need for N-serve in our soils in the Spring either.
