Whatever you do don't buy cabinets, counter tops, or back splash from Menards. Go with someone local or within a reasonable distance that builds cabinets and search out quality materials for counter tops and back splash. Whatever you have budgeted add at least 20% for contingencies. There will be "stuff" that comes up once you get into it.
