The needs of the gamers are being met with these incredible video controllers we have now - which, don't get me wrong, are some hugely impressive achievements. They're the true descendants of the vector-processing supercomputers like the Crays, CDC's, etc.

When I look at the hardware inside a game console, I think that some of these efforts to create these huge supercomputers on the taxpayer dime are a little misguided. They could just pile up a bunch of game consoles and get some truly impressive results - at a much lower price.
