Central ND | The life saveing part is a stretch and hit and miss at best. Marketing at its finest! I cant imagine how many bikes and pipes were sold because riders like the "cool" factor.Marekting makes money! They must spend millions to perfect the sound of exhaust systems towards the purchaseing crowd.(not old guys like me)
That said,Ive still got a little kid in me where it says thats kind of neat to hear someone else make the noise, but myself have outgrown it for the most part.. I like quiet cabs and quiet tractors and combines......nd God willing I can still hear fairly well.
Some folks and young kids dont get the power excitement like we used to. I had a 19 year old work with me for a little while and I am near the road, so you hear the "cool kids" make the corner and "step on it" and the sound would get your attention.Sort of sweet in a distance. I'd look and hear it EVERY TIME and he wouldnt even notice there was a vehicle there.His attention was into electronics and games and in my opinion childshness for a 19 year old.But that just my opinion.The next 19 year old would drop the game and look for the sound of horsepower.Each to their own. | |
