Columbus,MI | We get the same "plants" from Dixondale, they are dormant. They will keep 2-4 weeks depending. We unpack from the box, unbundle from the rubber banded bunches and lay out on table in the coldest corner of basement. The green stem is the energy/sugar storage to keep the bulb alive until planting. If you don't think they are going to make it you can always plant them now, and cover with floating row cover or slited plastic to create a mini green house. If you want more details let me know.
