Thanks for the info. I'm not happy about somebody else deciding when to ship and when I ought to plant them. Probably won't order these again and will start with seeds next time. I've got a cool darker place in an outbuilding where I could spread them out where they probably would not freeze or I could put them in the basement also. Is it important that they stay in an area that is dark as well as cool too ? Do they need any moisture ? At what point do I know they are dying and not going to make it ? Does the green portion on top stay green or does it wither and dry up ? I had planned on working up a new area to plant these onions but have not had fit conditions to even do that yet. Really had not advanced to building a cold frame or greenhouse area yet and did not anticipate having to fool with plastic to keep things protected. |
