Subject: RE: No-till vs Strip-till

Pilot Grove, Missouri
The only reason I use strip till is because I ushe NH3 for nitrogen. My bar is a cheap homemade unit, old planter bar converted with NH3 shanks, mole knives and disc closers. I broadcast most of my P&K except for a starter rate of DAP put on 2X2 with the planter. If I ever get away from NH3 I will most likely go to full no-till on corn. I do have a couple rocky/rougher fields that I don't want to pull the NH3 br through that I no-till. On those I broadcast all P&K, put on about 100# of urea with the planter and topdress the remainder of the nitrogen later. Patrick
