We do both. I feel here that in corn strip till gives a big yield advantage. If you have a single disc air drill just block runs and use that for applying fertilizer in a band. Strip till rigs can be had for 1/10th of what your thinking about spending

Yeah I’m guessing up in North Dakota in your heavy wet soil it’s tough to get no till to work?

I would have around 3,000 acres to get striptilled myself with one unit, while also getting harvest done so it would need to be 24 row or at least 16 and it would need to work reliably. I was looking at either 24 Krause or 16 row soil warrior, I am not sure I could buy the tires for either of those units for 15 grand

We farm some lighter soil so we dont struggle as bad as some. Get something that works out in multiples of your planter for sure. We have been running a 5310 16-30 and since we didn’t get any fall applied fert down we ended up buying another identical 5310. Going over the same amount of acres that you are as well
