Subject: semi HP question

just a tish NE of central ND
What is adequate? Is a small 330 hp L10 -9 speed semi tractor an UGLY DEAD DOG on a grain/cattle farm with feild usage in mind? Would something like that turn out to be a HATED farm truck because of lower HP and not enough gears?I always wonder when I see a road tractor for sale with smaller horsepower engine in it if its owner is getting rid of it because it has NO power? I realize enough or more than enough power makes driving a lot better and safer in trafic, better felid starting, less shifting ect.......so why did someone order a new one with a 330 hp engine in the first place. They are all designed (Tandam axle) to haul 80,000 or more.Im sure price has something to do with it, but isnt the same engine designed to also be a higher HP engine ?
