The only young ones who made through the 80s had very well healed parents and took a good job in town to make ends meet. This is no where near the 80s yet. Crop insurance and record low interest rates still help a bunch. I disagree ,......I started farming in 1983 when I was 15 years old, I had my own farrow to finish operation of 100 HD of sows & bought approximately 75% of all feed needed, I'm still farming today but without the smell of the hogs |
