| Yes, you're correct, of course. A person should go into something with his eyes open, however. And, if it doesn't work out, it can be helpful to at least know why it didn't - so the person won't blame himself completely if things do not turn out as desired. There is a pattern over the last century showing how these price moves in corn turn out. That does not mean that it has to turn out that way this time - but a person should know the odds and bet accordingly, IMHO.
Then again, in the early 80s, if someone had shown me the long term price chart in corn, I may just have headed back north to Alaska. I guess it's like Yogi said - when you come to a fork in the road, take it. (g) | |
