Southeast Colorado | Well Jon...........at least your overseeding didn't cost you as much with price of your seed going down a little every day! Seriously though, I'm sorry you are in a bad area but I've been across a lot of KS and Colorado (not your area) and there is quite a bit of potential out there. Granted the subsoil conditions are not so great.......but its definitely too early to write this crop off. We looked the same last year at this time and it turned into a colossal flop. (10% of my previous least cut bushels record, yea!) However, this is a whole new year and who knows what lies directly around the corner. Wheat here could make it to April without moisture and still look pretty good. | |
