| I can't believe this is even a thread on here. How is ethanol a problem? Do you realize what ethanol does for the rural economies? You ever hear of the Deep Horizon? Just ask the people in the gulf how they like oil in the ocean. Is oil going to last forever? NO, so why not appaud these folks for coming up with a renewable source of energy. Is ethanol perfect, of course not, but it does reduce our dependence on forgein oil. How many servicemen (and women) have we lost defending ethanol? My guess is 0. Wouldn't you rather put some money in your pocket and your neighbor's pocket rather than a middle eastern person. You think the middle east folks give two chits about the US? At least your neighbor is going to keep the money in the community (buying equipment, vehicles, food and so on). Yes it was subsidized for a number of years and guess what, so is oil! You know what the ethanol producers said when they took the subsidy away, "ok, we can work around it." Get a clue. | |
