Subject: RE: Ethanol is the problem

NE Colorado
Wasn't so long ago when corn was $2 per bushel that the subsidies paid to American farmers were being blamed for hurting third world farmers because the subsidies made world commodity prices cheap.

I bet the third world farmer isn't complaining about America's use of corn for ethanol production, he's for once in his life enjoying decent prices for his produce, too.

Food has been too cheap for too long. Why should the calories in a bushel of corn be worth less than an equal amount of calories in petroleum?
