Read Ed's post above. We may dumb down for a little while but once it's set and you know what you are working with it should be easier to write the software.
I am old enough to remember tractors with different hitch systems and hydraulic couplers. Companies were fighting over whose system was a little better. We may not have ended up with the best system for everything, but we did get a good system overall.
How important is ISO 11783 standard to you?
