Kinda touchy subject, I don't know why though. I think what nevinstobble had in mind was to replace the CAT steering valve with a JD steering valve. Now it would not be just that simple as you would also need a JD SSU and some other component from the JD system. I don't believe he was thinking of rewriting the code for either of these systems(that would be foolish!).
