Trenton, KY | I knew it was a bad situation over there, I didn't realize that they blew the levee three times, or that the third blast actually flooded more ground rather than helping. Some of the ground in those pictures is certainly hard to imagine it ever being worth much in our lifetime, if ever. Not to mention the infrastructure that was ruined, not damaged, but ruined. I know the water had to go somewhere, but it sure seems like everybody would have had a little water all over had they left the levee intact, rather than blowing it like they chose to do. My dad made the comment that maybe they blew it at night so no one would get shot in the process! | |
