cropsey, il 61731 | I'm using digifarm's service (elevate) and I'm considering being a copycat and putting a base station on the internet via rtk2go or roll my own base and caster. My 2 internet sources are private IP or sticky IP (changes, but public). I think I could do it and just deal with IP changes (and figuring out how to get on the verizon router to direct data to right port).
I run paradymes so I just need to get into one of the serial ports like the elevate does. I could also use an Ipad to get the correction info then send it to the paradyme via a bluetooth to serial adapter (like digifarm as well). I have looked at some industrial hardware, but I'm wondering if there is anything typically being used in this application.
I ran my own base station forever and like having some control over the system. The digifarm system is decent and rarely crashes, but it does, my troubleshooting tool are switch it on and off and wait on the phone. I could be calling home to my wife and leading her through the software while she asks why I don't just use digifarm.....
