East Central, Nebraska | no one wants the fj dynamics crap. i am guessing the OP is referring to some of the arduino type solutions on the market. they can be bought for as little as a couple hundred bucks.
if i was going to set myself up a cheap base i would just hit the easy button and buy the sparkfun RTK faucet L band. though no matter what solution you decide your challenge isn't setting up an inexpensive base, the challenge is getting the inexpensive base to export the language the expensive brand you have already chosen for steering components to utilize the information the base is giving you. your cheap base isn't going to export what your john deere or trimble want to see for steering so your back to square one. steering devices do exist that could utilize the simple nmea strings these inexpensive bases will export but the only one that i am aware of at this time is the agleader ontrac. | |
