Elkhart, Illinois | I stopped at our local Dollar General tonight to pick up a couple items for my bride. As I was standing in the check-out lane, waiting my turn, I noticed 20-30 snow shovels marked down at 70% off. I jokingly asked the girl if she had been getting alot of sales from this.......it was 65 degrees today. She said, "NO". I then asked her what they did with all the seasonal items like that when they did not sell. She told me that other than some clothes etc. that they donate to different charities, the rest of the stuff gets tossed in the dumpster. i just left, shaking my head because I really did NOT know what to say. | |
