Aurora, NC | We lease to Dollar General so I hear a lot of the workings. First, the first year they opened here they sent snow shovels and sold them for pooper scoopers to the deer hunters. We bought one for a dust pan in the shop. Secondly they usually mark stuff down low enough it sells at some point but if they have some oddball thing from Christmas or Halloween they toss it. Speaking of Halloween, they donate the leftover candy to the fire dept for the Christmas parade. Much of the items are wholesale lots of stuff that was bought pennies on the dollar anyway. | |
