| Has anyone tried putting a universal steering unit on a New Holland CR960 combine or a New Holland 8970 tractor. I have a JD ATU that I wanted to use, but we can't get the old steering wheels off of either of them. They have them wedged onto a tapered, splined shaft so hard that we can't break them loose. I thought I would see if anyone has had similar problems and if there were any suggestions. We used it on a Versatile 4wd for the planting season and it worked great and we had no problems getting the old wheel off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
