Subject: RE: wheel tile trencher vs tile plow

nw iowa
We ran a tile plow for years and if it was wet enough ground I've seen water running out the end before we got pulled up to where we were done.Probably depends on the ground some too.but I would'nt be afraid of a plow. The one advantage I could see with a trencher was sometimes if you cut an existing tile you could see tile chips where with the plow it would take wet weather and a muddy spot would tell you hit a tile line.Trenchers are also slower. We could plow in tile faster than a man could walk unless ground was really muddy.
