Subject: RE: wheel tile trencher vs tile plow

I have a Tile Plows Inc by Don Wurdinger. Mine is 3pt hitch but you can buy a cart to make it pull type. 3pt backs into the trench real easy and seemed to hold grade good for me. On rough ground or perpendicular to corn rows you can get out of the laser beam. The cart might be better on rough ground. Wurdinger has made several changes to his plow over the years and has a good plow at a very good price. One thing plows do surprisingly well is bed the tile. All the fine dirt falls to the bottom of the trench an is encased around the tile. This fine dirt is mostly top soil it packs around the tile and leaves the tile perfectly round. I prefer the plow over a wheelmachine. Don G
