I think your number is generously high already and includes profit. My corn input costs are $339 per acre this year. That includes 178-40-40-10, part of N in topdress, flagship brand SmartStax at 32K, one-pass herbicide, all operating and payment costs for late model, post 2010 equipment, all trucking, average drying/storage costs, 80% insurance, and interst cost. There is actually enough extra in there to cover living expense because we use custom rates to justify equipment and try to make each one profitable.

Do people really rent flat, black, and square ground out there for $225? The OP wouldn't get a farm like that with 200 aph around here for under $300, and I wouldn't be surprised to see $350-$400.
I understand that everybody's COP is different and figured differently, but IMO, even though you own all your land, that's not a correct picture of your COP. If you could lease your ground out for 400 per acre you need to figure that into your COP as opportunity cost.
