I deer hunt in heavy woods so I usually use shotgun for that. I will take the 30-06 when in some more open areas or those we have better shooting lanes through. I hunt whitetail, but also like to go for squirrel and coyote with friends from time to time. The main game of mine is opossums that the dogs drag to my front step and little ground squirrels in the yard haha
