Near-north Ontario, French River
What other hunting do you do, if any? I'd hate to see you go out and drop +$1000 for a dog gun and scope and then have it sit on the gun rack because its not practical for the other types of shooting you do. How far will you be shooting?? I see you have a 30-06, so safe to assume you do some sort of big game hunting? Would you consider a .270, maybe even trade in the -06 and get a tricked out .270 or similar. A .270 will be more expensive to shoot than a .223, but its only a 3 day hunt right? It will shoot flat and long, and in most cases can replace your -06 .
