Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | While it is true that rain is predicted for central Brazil in the next two weeks, except for the more northern areas outside of the major soybean production region it appears to be only modest amounts. Furthermore if you look closely at where exactly it rained in Mato Grosso you discover that most of that recent rain actually fell in the northwestern corner, not in the high production areas in the south & east. For example if you look at the CPC's time series 30 day precip. amounts for those important areas you see that they are quite dry. Are they too dry, maybe not yet but given the temperatures and transpiration rates that central Brazil will experience in the next two months, just when their full season beans need to flower & pod fill, I'm not convinced their whole crop is made.
