I've been hinting that a couple of weather guru's which I follow are hinting that the current weather pattern is similar to 2011.

No nothing like 2011 The stuff you guys come up with our weather is pretty hilarious.

First off all the records you are talking about in 2011 are in LA / Southern CA. The atmospheric river looks to be comming down the I-80 corridor just hitting on the South of San Fransisco going directly over Sacramento then hitting the Serria between Oroville and Blue Canyon.

This is hundreds of miles north of all those records you posted in Southern CA.

This atmospheric river is just like the one in Dec 65 and almost exactly playing out like the one after Christmas 96. In both of those previous storms and the current predictions of this one there was concentrated rain in one location and a few miles south or north of the system got less than an inch.
