In my opinion, one has to keep in mind that Dave Ramsey is about being debt free. If you want to be debt free, his principles will work, no doubt. I listen to him frequently and often think the same as others have mentioned. Growing a farm business without some debt is going to be a tough uphill battle. Maybe try to only use debt for large (land acquisition) purchases.
