NW Ohio | The loan rates and LDP rates are way outdated and need to be increased. Also, base acres are a joke. Under the ARC program, you can get paid for still having base wheat acres and you haven't even planted wheat for years. That is simply stupid.
A lot of fixing needs to be done before we need another set aside program.
Just increase the payments and acreage limits on CRP. And reduce the paperwork it takes to get signed up. What is currently in place is such a waste of time and paper. That will be the quickest way to get farmers to set aside land.
