Northern Illinois | sorry but why is there any discussion about low commodity prices or needing ways to raise the price of what we produce? That is simple. We are producing crops on to many acres. The problem is that the last few farm programs have rewarded planting crops to acres that previously were not planted. So lets figure out ways to not reward that practice. Problem will be solved.
don't know where Jon is from but thinking Kansas. Don't know if the land Jon is farming would have a base or not. So this is not directed at anyone. But why should we design a farm program for the benefit people who broke out new land in the last 20-30 years or are attempting to grow crops in areas that were not grown in the past and are now saying the price of that crop is to low? That does not make any sense to me.
