I know you can label your beef as your beef if you want to market it directly.  I'm sure a company (such as Coleman) can advertise that all of the beef they sell is raised in the U.S. (if it really is).  In fact, Culvers already does this.
The problem with the scenario you asked about was they wanted a U.S. government program (which I assume the WTO saw as prejudicial to other governments).  We don't need the government's permission to advertise our beef accurately.



I know it would be smart and wise for a government to protect Production Agriculture, Logging and Fishing. Those are the only three industries that can really build true wealth. An Economy will get stronger if Production Agriculture, Logging and fishing is strong and progressive. Oil and mining and manufacturing are important but wealth is started with the basic three. Taxes and revenue raised from and through good progressive, Production Ag, logging and fishing are what built the future for all other industries.
