$600 calves is still profitable for me, but not much worth doing. We forgot to bid up land rents when it was good, I just dumped some extra money in cleanup, repair, upgrades to rental properties, my landlords like that. At least if it gets to $600 this time I'll have plenty of hay. Last time we were feeding them dirt and $200/ton hay.
