Ossian, IN | I can't remember my first time. I don't think I really ever ran dad's first JD 4400. I may have ran the 6600, but it was gear drive and don't think I did. I think it was in '01 we got a 6620 and I do remember that and maybe it was one of the first season's we ran it, it was very wet and remember many times and backing up when you couldn't stay inline with the corn. At that time, we used to custom cut some acres for a neighbor and I remember dad turning me loose one night to finish cutting a section in the field while he left for a meeting. That was replaced with a 7720 which I ran more often and now we have a 9500 that I probably run half the time. It's seems once we went to this combine, dad started getting out of the cab more often. | |
