Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | I was about 13 or 14 (can't remember the exact year but I do remember the experience). IH 615 with 14 ft header in soybeans. It was our first combine. Prior to that we had a neighbor do the beans for us. My older brother had me ride a few rounds with him. Then he put me behind the wheel and watched for a few rounds. He then left it with me. From then on he would run it until I got out of school in the afternoon and then it was mine until the dew set in. Later added a JD 4400 which was mostly my baby. Both had cabs but neither had A/C. |
