I agree and it's equally frustrating to read stuff like "we're well watered, the crop has had few stressors, stands are great, bla, bla, we're going to have 275+ bu. on every acre". The truth is, we can speculate till the cows come home but we really won't know with any accuracy until much later in the game. Even then we won't be certain until it's weighed.
