I agree you need to talk to some support group for families dealing with Alzheimiers or other forms of dementia. Sounds like this could be "early on set Alzheimers" that you are dealing with here, but it takes a real doc to figure that out. Alzheimers and mental problems of old folks are tough to deal with for all concerned.
