SW Minnesota, Lyon County | Glad to hear there are good ones out there. Last spring I had to fix a road that was being used as a haul road for manure. Never got a call from the haulers. An investor of the barns let me know it was becoming a mess and he also contacted the manure hauler to tell them to stop. They were hauling with semis and tankers to a field. When the trucks couldn't make it through a certain spot on the road anymore, they just hooked a tractor to them to pull them through the soft area. The sheriff shut them down so they said they were just going haul with tractors and tanks because the sheriff couldn't do anything about that. I let the investor know and pretty soon a hose was laid out from the barns to the field and they finished that way. Could have been done that way initially and save a lot of headaches. Took me all year to get the road half way decent! |
