Subject: RE: Tanks make you money!

NEMO
A friend mentioned the other day that tanks make you money. NH3 tanks, LP tanks, Fuel tanks, Grain tanks!

I think a 1000 acres of corn can justify your own NH3 setup. Cactus Tanks in Oklahoma sells several tanks a year at reasonable prices.

One 12,000 gallon storage tank, pump, 2 nurse wagons and an applicator. 4-6 wagons might be needed depending on your setup and available labor.

I know 2 brothers that only need 2 1450 gallon wagons. One fills in less than 10 minutes and takes back to the field while the other drives the tractor. Pretty efficient and a good payback on their investment.

For the most part, NH3 is only as dangerous as you let it be. Common sense, good judgement, and the wind is your friend!
