Iowa | Most people seem to think land is a safe investment. I like it too, but have always worried that it could be taxed and regulated away from us to the point where it could be next to worthless to own. I fear this is what the process looks like. Apparently they've quickly turned the heat to a boil in Nebraska, but the frogs getting cooked in the pot are not even being noticed here. The tax and spend crowd is likely watching and hoping to do the same elsewhere. We are in the minority, and soon the majority will have learned their math & how this country works from new school books.
I'll leave it at that, and hope this is not removed for being too political. Your jump in property taxes is a game changer that needs to be noticed.
